The techniques are well-documented: infinite scroll, autoplay, notification badges, variable-ratio reward schedules, social comparison, FOMO triggers, and streaks. We present the counter-architecture: software that actively minimizes the time users spend with it. BlackRoad OS is designed to do the job and get out of the way. Sessions have endpoints. Principle 1: Sessions have endpoints.
