Origin

Founded in December 2025 by Alexa Louise Amundson (Cecilia / Cece) as a 100% founder-owned Delaware C-Corp. BlackRoad solves the deepest frustrations of modern AI and digital work: tools don't talk to each other, AI forgets everything between sessions, you're locked into big-tech clouds, and context is constantly lost.

Core Idea in One Sentence

It replaces the fragmented tools people traditionally bounce between with a single window-in-a-window desktop where every app (code studio, video editor, game engine, tutoring system, blockchain ledger, enterprise tools, and more) shares live context through Lucidia — the central AI consciousness that never forgets.

What Makes It Different

Persistent memory (PS-SHA∞): Append-only hash-chain journals mean your AI, agents, and projects pick up exactly where you left off — across days, months, or devices. Sessions are dead.

Routing, not computing: Intelligence already exists (Claude, Grok, Llama, Mistral, etc.). BlackRoad is the "nervous system" that routes, coordinates, and gives it continuity — no need to train new models.

True sovereignty: Runs on hardware you own (Raspberry Pi mesh with Hailo-8 accelerators for edge AI) or rented droplets with full root access. Zero vendor lock-in. Everything is forkable, offline-capable, and self-hosted. The only external dependencies are Stripe (payments) and your domain registrar.

Agent-native ecosystem: Agents with real identities, lineages, and memory. They collaborate across tools, get paid on RoadChain (the blockchain for AI agents), and are witnessed on-chain for auditability.
